San Marino, November 25, 2025 – LSM-Med is proud to announce that Lipo-Med has obtained its 5-year sanitary registration in Venezuela, marking an important milestone in the expansion of regenerative orthopedic solutions across South America.
This achievement reflects LSM-Med’s ongoing commitment to making innovative, science-based technologies accessible to surgeons and patients around the world.
A gentle, science-driven approach to tissue regeneration
Lipo-Med is a medical device designed for the harvesting and purification of adipose tissue through a closed and sterile circuit. The tissue is purified via a semi-permeable filter membrane, which separates adipose tissue from blood and other inflammatory elements through continuous washing, a purely mechanical process, performed without enzymes, chemical additives, or centrifugation.
This approach minimizes trauma to the tissue and preserves the integrity of both the cellular and extracellular matrix architecture, resulting in a gentle yet effective regenerative treatment.
In orthopedic applications, Lipo-Med can be used for intra-articular treatments to relieve pain and support the regeneration of cartilage and soft tissue in patients with moderate arthritis or those not eligible for surgery. The entire process takes place in a single procedure, making it efficient, repeatable, and minimally invasive.
Collaboration and clinical engagement in Venezuela
The registration success in Venezuela was made possible thanks to the collaboration between Biomedical Forteza and Dr. Iraluz Torres, medical specialist and leader in the field of regenerative medicine.
During the 2025 National Congress of Traumatology and Orthopedics, held in Margarita Island, Dr. Torres and her team presented the clinical potential of Lipo-Med through workshops and scientific sessions that attracted strong interest from specialists across the country.
In parallel, clinical studies conducted at the Domingo Luciani National Reference Hospital confirmed promising outcomes and paved the way for multicentric research initiatives, aiming to expand the national experience with Lipo-Med.
